Hi friends & fellow environmental justice organizers!

The Catalyst Project is coming to VT to co-facilitate a series of trainings in & we're helping organize one with a focus on environmental organizing!

We hope you will join us for this interactive day-long workshop. We'll strengthen our relationships as a community, develop our visions for justice in society, explore how institutional racism helps to perpetuate poverty, and look at how white privilege undermines our efforts to build strong, healthy communities. Though this workshop is geared towards white people, all are welcome.
This eco-focused workshop will be specially tailored to include more discussion of anti-colonialism, indigenous history & cultural appropriation, as these are themes that seem to be coming up in much of the work we are doing.

The Catalyst Project will be co-facilitating this workshop with members from the VWC. The Catalyst Project is a center for political education and movement-building based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their goal is to create a world where all people are free from oppression and exploitation through work in white communities to deepen anti-racist commitment and building multiracial movements.

When: Friday October 4th 10am to 6pm

Where: Montpelier (exact location TBD)

To cover the costs of this training, we are asking for a sliding scale $30-$70 donation, butnobody will be turned away for lack of funds. Coffee, other drinks, snacks, and lunch will be provided.

To register email Avery avery.pittman@gmail.com or call 802-343-7565

Thank you all for the work you do & feel free to invite others working on environmental issues in the state!
