Archeolympics At Seminole Canyon State Historical Park (West Texas) Empty Archeolympics At Seminole Canyon State Historical Park (West Texas)

I'm sorry that this is going to be happening so, so far away from most of y'all. But just in case anyone's out in Texas on February 9, 2013, the 6th Annual Archeolympics are happening at Seminole Canyon State Historical Park just west of Comstock, Texas (just off U.S. Hwy 90). The events to participate in will include Friction-Fire Race (sorry bow-drill people, hand-drill only), Rabbit Stick Throwing, and Spear-throwing with Atlatls. This silly site says I can't post the website for the park or event, so just Google the TPWD (Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept.) site and search up 6th Annual Archeolympics and it should be fairly straightforward from there. Also, Seminole Canyon is a super cool park if you're EVER passing through Southwest Texas. It has some of the Pecos River Style Rock Art (Cave Paintings), some of which dates back past 4000 years, making it some of the oldest art in North America. Check it out if you ever can.

Well, it'd be awesome if someone made it down to Texas for the Archeolympics.
