Alumni Skillshare 2013!!!
The Kroka Student Association Presents:
The Second Annual Kroka Alumni Skillshare!
June 8th, 9th, and 10th, 2013
The gathering will begin following the Vermont Semester Graduation on Saturday, June 8th, with a pot-luck feast, music jam, games, and storytelling. Accomodations at Kroka are provided. Skill-sharing will begin Sunday morning.
Skills to learn so far include:
- Sheep slaughtering, butchering, and processing with Andy Staudinger.
- Make blood sausage, learn the different cuts of meat, learn how to skin a large animal and what to do with the hide.
- Learn how to make your own drop-spindle and spin fiber into yarn.
- Learn basket-making seven ways out of natural materials.
Plus:
- Swim in Kroka's Pond (What? A Pond!?)
- Take harmonica lessons with Ari and learn how to make your own rhythm bones!
- Learn how to walk a slack line!
- Hear stories from alumni who have built their own homes!
- And much more!
We will celebrate the start of summer with a sheep roast Sunday evening along with a bonfire and of course, more singing.
With the Second Annual Skillshare only a little more than a month away, it's time to REGISTER so we know who's coming. See attached REGISTRATION FORM for details on that.
Also: If you have any additional skills that you would like to share, let us know! The more, the merrier.
Questions can be directed to Me, Ari, Andy, or Kendra,
Happy Spring!
